2017 Christmas Auctions

Since I've been preoccupied with the Cygnus option parts, there's only going to be about eight auctions for Christmas Ornaments this year. I will be putting a couple up tonight at around 7:00pm CST.

Closet Cleanup Auctions - Phase 2

The plan is, if I get rid of about half of the kits I own, I might get the rest built by the time I croak! Or at least concentrate on doing a decent job of building the ones that matter to me. This week, I'm putting up a few IMAI Captain Scarlet kits that I've had in the closet for about ten years.

Cleaning out the Closet

I'm having a closet cleanout and throwing some stuff up on ebay over the next few weeks. Some Gundams and whatnot are going up for sale this evening. Give it a look!

Of interest to this group might be the rare Crusher Joe Ostall AKA Battletech Locust kit...

2001: A Space Odyssey - Space Wheel

At long last, we will be auctioning a 3D printed space wheel on EBAY starting sometime around 19:00 EST this evening. Here are some pictures of what's coming, including a comparison with the old resin cast space wheel...

2014 Christmas Auctions

The Fourth Axis 2014 Christmas Auctions will be starting up again this evening 8:00EST Nov 9 2014. The first week will include old standbys with rarer items appearing in following weeks. For those that have been wondering, we will have at least one NSEA Protector ornament this year and there will be at least one Space Wheel up for auction. In addition to Christmas ornaments, we will also be auctioning EVA POD fridge magnets, a KLF Dalek kit and a test print of a Battletech Fenris (approximately 1:90th scale - so whoever bought the FLEA and the VULCAN test shots, this should match pretty well in scale to those).

So visit ebay and get your bids on!

High Definition 2001 EVA POD

Thought I'd post a teaser of some of the prototypes for the 2001: A Space Odyssey EVA POD Christmas Ornament that I'm working on. It'll be the same size as the cast ornament that I've been selling through eBay the last ten years, but with a lot more detail. Yes, that's Dave in there. (He's a decal though, not a painted figure).

Hopefully will have two or three of these to auction before Christmas. Just have to work out some reliability problems with the file and how to paint them reeeeeeaaaal nice.

Whitworth for Sale

I just posted the auction for the 1/100 scale Whitworth. Not sure yet if this will be the only Mech auction this Christmas. I've got a few more 2001 items that can go, and some other random stuff will appear as I finish it.

I've been doing some new CAD files so that I can print the 2001 ornaments on the V-FLASH. That would mean better detail and lighter ornaments. So far, I'm close to finishing the ARIES lander and have done some preliminary work on the POD. Hopefully you'll be seeing these at auction for Christmas 2013!

2012 Christmas Auctions Have Begun!

I just posted the first of the 2012 Christmas Ornament Auctions. We're starting with a moonbus, space plane and a pod. We've got a bunch of other stuff lined up to paint right now so we'll see how much of it makes it to auction. In addition to the abovementioned pieces, we should be listing some Aries Landers and maybe a Discovery or two. I've got some NSEA Protector Ornaments queued up as well, but just want to see if that was ever released as an official Hallmark Ornament before I list them.

See the current auctions HERE.

Monday Stuff

I didn't get a chance to call 3D Systems today and work through the software upgrade for HAL cuz I was doing too many other things. Like errands and creating packaging for the Christmas Ornament auctions.

My hats off to Cindy and her mum for doing the painting, packing and mailing for the ornaments way-back-when. Now that I'm doing it for myself, I really have a new appreciation for all that went into it. And they did HUNDREDS!

I managed to put the FLEA together today as well. Here's a couple of pictures. The scale could be better, but to be honest, I'm mixing so many different scales from Macross, Dougram and Crusher Joe already, that I'm just shooting for "close"...

Here's the FLEA with all his pals, waitin to stomp on ya! Yup, the Shadowhawk is too big, the Rifleman is too small, but what are ya gonna do? Anyone know where I can get a Revoltech Dougram (Shadowhawk) for cheap? (I ain't paying $45US for one inna box!) I figure that'd be about the right size...

New Auction - Battletech Scorpion

I finished decalling one of the Scorpions so I could take a picture and list the kit on E-Bay. So we'll see how it goes...

Darlene and I spent today painting Christmas ornaments, so I might be putting some of those up on E-Bay as well this week...
